SUMMER FAIR HANDBOOK

Dear Summer Fair exhibitor,

The information contained on this page is designed to help you plan for the Independent Schools Show Summer Fair on 22nd June, 2021. 

The marketing campaign is well underway and we are excited to present hundreds of highly engaged purchasers. 

We are keeping a close eye on any COVID restrictions and will keep you well informed as the Fair moves closer.

The Fair is split into four time slots so visitors can pick when they plan to attend and we can control numbers to ensure there is no overcrowding.

I manage the London shows and am the principal point of contact for exhibiting schools at all the British Boarding Schools Shows abroad.

Your Stand

All exhibitors will be provided with a table (6ft x 2.6ft) with chairs either side along with access to power and wifi. The plan is to keep it simple: there is room for a couple of pull-up banners behind your stand, brochures and a laptop/tablet and away we go!

Staffing Your Stand

We recommend 2-3 people on your stand at any one time, it is possible to rotate your staff throughout the day if you wish.

We recommend all staff bring name badges to be kept on throughout the show and the garden party that follows.

Exhibitor Workshop: Tuesday 8th June - 14:30

Please join us for this short 30-minute Exhibitor's Workshop on Zoom, the ideal opportunity 2 weeks from the event when the ISS team will be talking you through the following topics:

  • Format of the day - including logistics & the social distancing arrangements
  • H&S requirements and regulations 
  • Demographic profile of ticketholders 
  • Prep schools attending the Fair
  • Knight Frank support packages for exhibiting schools
  • Promoting your school's presence at the Fair
  • Arrangements for the evening drinks party

Logistics

CATERING

We are delighted to announce the show sponsor Brewin Dolphin will be putting together a bento box for all school representatives for lunch.

There is also a cafe onsite for anything else you require.

Parking

Parking is extremely limited at the Hurlingham Club, there is only *one spot per exhibitor. Please send the vehicle details and registration to Ben by the 11th June.  

*This is weather dependent, if the ground is wet prior to the event we will need to make alternative arrangements. 

Hotel

Preferential rates have been arranged at the closest hotel - The DoubleTree by Hilton  - Chelsea

The rate is for one or two nights. There is a credit card required for the reservation and by choosing to book the London Chelsea rate, you have free cancellation before 4:00 PM local hotel time on the day of arrival.

The nearest tube station is Putney Bridge on the Wimbledon District Line, approximately 10 minutes walk from the Hurlingham Club.

Update your listing on the ISS website

Parents use the site to plan their visit and return repeatedly after the show. Views of school listings were up 130.5% in 2019 on 2018, and are rising rapidly again now. A good listing feeds your school's website. 50.4% of our visitors click from the listings to school websites.

Use the form below to submit or update your school's listing on the ISS website - changing text, details, photographs, logo and video.

We are encouraging schools to create a 'we look forward to meeting you at the Summer Fair' video to post on your social media and we will re-share on the website and on our channels. Please be as creative as you wish and share via email/dropbox or tag us.
