SUMMER FAIR HANDBOOK

Dear Summer Fair exhibitor,

It's no secret that the transition from prep/primary to senior school is a challenge for parents. We have designed the Fair to help parents discover, apply and prepare for the right school.

The pre-registrations are flying, this demonstrates a renewed appetite for attending informative events and validates the need to help parents address this stage from Year 4 to Year 8.

The information published on this page is designed to help you plan for the Independent Schools Show Summer Fair, if you have any questions please get in contact.

Ben & the ISS team

The heart of the show is the exhibiting schools and we look forward to connecting you with prospective parents for your school.

Talks play a vital role attracting parents to the event. We have a comprehensive line up of speakers in the Education Theatre covering all the topics parents need to know to navigate this stage of their child's education.

Building on the success of the London Choices feature at ISS in Battersea, the 'how to apply theatre' provides parents with an overview of the application processes of London day schools.

Your Stand

All exhibitors will be provided with a table (6ft x 2.6ft) with chairs either side along with access to power and wifi. The plan is to keep it simple: there is room for a couple of pull-up banners behind your stand, brochures and a laptop/tablet and away we go!

Staffing Your Stand

We recommend 2-3 people on your stand at any one time, it is possible to rotate your staff throughout the day if you wish.

Please send Ben the list of school representatives to be passed onto security by 18th May.

We recommend all staff bring name badges to be kept on throughout the show.

Update your listing on the ISS website

Parents use the site to plan their visit and return repeatedly after the show. Views of school listings were up 130.5% in 2019 on 2018, and are rising rapidly again now. A good listing feeds your school's website. 50.4% of our visitors click from the listings to school websites.

Use the form below to submit or update your school's listing on the ISS website - changing text, details, photographs, logo and video.

We are encouraging schools to create a 'we look forward to meeting you at the Summer Fair' video to post on your social media and we will re-share on the website and on our channels. Please be as creative as you wish and share via email/dropbox or tag us.
