St James Senior Boys' School

St James Senior Boys’ School is an independent day school in Ashford Surrey for boys aged 11-18. We offer an education which nurtures and enriches the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual development of our pupils.

Our curriculum is academically demanding and wide. It is designed to encourage intellectual enquiry but is tailored to suit a range of ability. Our strong through-school focus on pastoral care equips our pupils with a wealth of mindfulness techniques and as a result they exhibit remarkable calmness under pressure.

Our beautiful 32 acres school setting enables us to offer a wide variety of sports facilities without having to leave the school gates, from kayaking on our lake, to climbing in our newly built sports hall. The facilities don’t end there, our dedicated drama studio and school chapel provide a perfect backdrop to our creative arts performances.

Getting to us is easy, we attract pupils from central London, Surrey and Hampshire with the provision of an extensive school bus route and a well-connected train line (which is situated just 2 minutes away from our front door.)
