Scholato is a FREE year-round information service for parents, extending the support at the Independent Schools Show.

Many of the parent share a similar feeling when looking for schools: there is no shortage of information, but it can be difficult to know what is most relevant and important for your child right now. 

Scholato membership begins with a one-to-one 30 minute consultation to discuss your child's current education and help you plan their route forward.

Once we know what you are looking for, you will receive:

  • personal introductions from us to the UK, US, or international schools that you would like to meet or visit.
  • an email update every two weeks summarising the key things that should be front of your mind. It will act as a gentle nudge to help you keep things moving.
  • access to our exclusive programme of Scholato events, only accessible to club members.
  • as a Scholato club member you have full access to Bonas MacFarlane services, delivered by Britain's best tutors, education consultants and mentors.

Expert support  

Scholato is powered by Bonas MacFarlane who have supported thousands of families across the globe, helping them to make the best school and university choices for their children. 

The international service is led by Fiona Hughes D'Aeth, who has over 30 years of experience as a teacher, governor and consultant. She brings a parent's perspective, her own four children were educated at schools and universities in the UK and US.

How the service works

Scholato membership and core services - school search advice, personal introductions and member events - are FREE for parents and funded by schools.

Scholato members have exclusive access to the same bespoke 1-1 services as Bonas MacFarlane clients. These services are billed to parents.
