Benedict Dunhill was headmaster of Redcliffe School in Chelsea. He has 25 years experience working in British private schools for 15 years of headship in leading boarding prep schools and in London day prep schools followed ten years in senior schools as a teacher, tutor and boarding housemaster. Benedict also taught English in Le Puy, France.
Benedict is a governor of two schools, in the independent and maintained sectors and has served as an inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate, ISI for many years.
Benedict has an extended overview of the independent school sector from 3 – 18; co-educational and single sex, boarding and day. This perspective and his close knowledge of the transition requirements at each stage, as well as his many close contacts within schools, allows Benedict to have a highly informed and impartial view at all stages of a child’s educational journey.
As well as being a governor within the Drapers’ Multi Academy Trust, Benedict is a member of the Charities Committee of the Drapers’ Company. Benedict has a degree in French Language and Literature and began his working life in the City before moving into education.
