Amy Wallace
Miss Amy Wallace became the ninth Principal of Queen’s Gate in September 2022. Formerly Senior Deputy Head at St. Catherine’s, Twickenham, Miss Wallace’s teaching career has included stints at Wycombe Abbey as a teacher and Housemistress, and St. Francis College, Letchworth, as Head of Sixth Form. She has served as a governor at Badminton School, Bristol and Halliford School, Shepperton.
Miss Wallace was herself educated at the School of St. Helen and St. Katharine in Oxfordshire, before going up to Newnham College, Cambridge, to read History. She completed her BA in 2003, and an MPhil in American History in 2005. Miss Wallace took her PGCE at Hertford College, University of Oxford. When not teaching or studying, she has often been found on rivers, coxing for her university colleges, Furnivall Sculling Club and the Royal Air Force. These days her hobbies tend to be more land-based, taking advantage of London’s many museums and enjoying overseas travel. She lives in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, in a book-filled home that she shares with two naughty but adorable cats.
