At Rockwell College, we offer a unique experience as Ireland's premier co-ed boarding school. We embrace tradition while fostering academic success and personal development, creating a supportive "home away from home" atmosphere. Our flexible boarding options cater to diverse needs, ensuring every student feels nurtured and supported.

Our academic facilities boast state-of-the-art science labs, computer rooms, a tiered lecture theatre, and a contemporary art room. Through a combination of practical applications, teaching excellence, technology integration, and scheduled supervised study and individual study times, our students consistently excel in the Leaving Certificate exams. Many earn scholarships from esteemed institutions, with Rockwell College consistently ranking in the top percentile of leaving and junior cert results in Ireland.

However, echoing the sentiments of former student Shane Stapleton, who reflects on his time at Rockwell College, stating, “Rockwell College provided me with an exceptional education through its academic programme. Being born and educated in the Middle East, returning to Rockwell for my final years of secondary education was a pivotal decision. In addition to its educational excellence, the college offers a multitude of sporting opportunities,” our commitment to excellence extends beyond academics, as sporting prowess is deeply ingrained in our ethos. Our expansive campus offers exceptional recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, all-weather hockey pitches, modern fitness suites, indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, rugby pitches, a 5-a-side pitch, weights rooms, and a 23-acre lake, providing ample opportunities for students to thrive and excel. All students are encouraged to participate in sporting activities, forming an integral part of the Rockwell College experience. We offer a diverse array of competitive team sports for both boys and girls, including hockey, rugby, football, soccer, basketball, golf, and hurling. As a renowned rugby college, we boast a rich history of producing past international and rugby union players. After class, Rockwell College provides a variety of activities for students to unwind and explore their interests. Whether it's enjoying the foot golf course, refining tennis skills, experiencing equestrian adventures with the Pony Club, engaging in chess matches, or staying active with supervised swims and indoor rowing, there's a plethora of engaging options to choose from.

Principal Audrey O’Byrne places a significant emphasis on student well-being. In collaboration with the Trustees and Board of Management, she takes her role to ensure every student receives the support and guidance needed to reach their full potential very seriously. To uphold this commitment, Rockwell College provides comprehensive pastoral care through our dedicated Student Support Team. Led by senior management members, including the Chaplain, Guidance Counsellor, Nurse, SEN Coordinator, and Residence Manager, we offer essential services to support students facing challenges and worries. Former student Jack Suthcliffe attests to the transformative impact of a Rockwell education. Jack found a sense of belonging and received the extra help he needed as a dyslexic student: "I felt very much at home in the boarding house with my fellow boarders from across Ireland and abroad... and looking back now over 10 years later, they provided many opportunities and support. I’m dyslexic and was given the extra help I needed in the classroom and during study periods.”

Our motto, "Inter Mutanda Constantia" (retaining constant values in the midst of a changing world), reflects our commitment to instilling timeless values of respect, honesty, kindness, and courage.

Across all aspects of college life - from the classrooms to the sports fields, from the dining halls to the residences - the Rockwell College community works together to create a vibrant, warm, and welcoming atmosphere in which all pupils thrive.

Join us at Rockwell College, where tradition meets innovation, and every student is empowered to become the architect of their own success.
