FHS Sloane Square offers a transformational education in a community which empowers girls to become the leaders, thinkers, innovators, entrepreneurs, designers and game changers of tomorrow. Dynamic, inspirational teaching has seen an upward trajectory of academic performance over the past decade (88% of GCSE grades were A*- A (9-7) in 2024, while 67% of A Level results were A*-A and 27% A* in 2024) and we now rank amongst the top independent schools nationally. However, what really sets FHS apart is outstanding pastoral care and a strong sense of community, where all pupils are truly known. Pupils are supported by a comprehensive programme of wellbeing which develops resilience, confidence and character, enabling them to achieve extraordinary things.

FHS is an academically selective school for 11-18 year olds, attracting girls from Francis Holland Preparatory School and a broad range of preparatory and primary schools.  The school's most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate Report in October 2024 described us as having ‘created a positive culture in which girls feel safe and can thrive'.  FHS is a hub of creativity, innovation and enterprise where the girls are warmly valued, not just for their impressive academic success but for their individual talents.

With over 100 clubs, activities and societies to choose from, every pupil is encouraged to discover their passion. Francis Holland has a strong reputation in music, drama, ballet, art and sport and enjoys well-equipped facilities for each.

Our national award-winning Futures & Innovation programme is modelled on skills identified by the World Economic Forum as key for the future including storytelling, creative thinking, social influence and empathy. This enables our leavers to go on to top Russell Group, US and European universities and thrive in an exciting and diverse range of careers.

In September 2024, Francis Holland’s Junior School (formerly located onsite at Sloane Square) relocated to an iconic Victorian Grade II listed building just off the King’s Road, becoming Francis Holland Preparatory School. Senior School pupils and staff are naturally benefitting from the move, not only from greater space at Sloane Square and developments to the campus masterplan, but also from the exciting opportunities created for senior curriculum enhancement.

Our central London location, just around the corner from Sloane Square underground and a short walk from Victoria station, makes the school easy to reach by public transport. This means that we are fortunate to be able to take full advantage of an excellent range of local museums, galleries and theatres to support the curriculum, without compromising valuable teaching time. The school is governed by the Francis Holland Schools Trust along with its sister schools, Francis Holland Regent’s Park, and Francis Holland Preparatory School. The three schools share strong bonds and similar values. However, each school has its own individual characteristics and identity.
