Abingdon House School provides a mainstream style education with a specialist approach, in a supportive and collaborative school community. We remove the barriers and limitations that are all too often placed on students, particularly those with special educational needs, while fostering an enjoyment of learning where creativity and individualism are celebrated.

We understand that the surest route for every student to a rewarding and successful school experience is a sense of personal achievement.  In providing this, we can help our students build the confidence, skills, knowledge and ultimately the self belief necessary to become happy and productive global citizens.

Abingdon House School is a day school for pupils with specific learning needs (SpLD) including dyslexia, dyspraxia, social communication difficulties and associated needs. The environment is based on understanding a child’s individual needs, nurturing their academic and social development and caring for their wellbeing.

The School is CReSTeD accredited and benefits from in-house therapy services including speech and language, occupational and physiotherapy. Therapy is integrated into the school day with therapists working with children in their classroom alongside teaching staff in lessons and also at lunch and break times.
