Keith Metcalfe
Keith’s roles as Headmaster and CEO of Malvern College require full dedication to all aspects of school life. Education and pupil success are at the core of his life, and since graduating from the University of Cambridge, teaching has been the most important path he has pursued. Along the way, he has taught at Harrow School, where he served as Deputy Headmaster, and held positions as Housemaster, departmental head, ISI school inspector, sports coach, and Master in charge of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.
In 2025, Keith also becomes the next Chair of the HMC Membership & Professional Standards Committee, joining the Board of Directors at that time. Shortlisted as Head Teacher of the Year at the Tes Schools Awards, Keith sees Malvern College as a school that provides the time and space to nurture the whole person, with pastoral care at the heart of all it does. He is an advocate of the great outdoors, and having been awarded a Golf Blue from Cambridge, he continues to support a wide range of sports in our curriculum.
He regularly runs or cycles over the Malvern Hills to meetings at The Downs, Malvern College's Prep School. He promotes this passion for making the most of the environment and succeeding inside and outside the classroom across all seven Malvern College schools worldwide.
