Keith Metcalfe
Keith’s roles of Headmaster and CEO of Malvern College demand complete commitment to all aspects of school life. Education and pupil success is in his lifeblood and since graduating from the University of Cambridge, teaching has been the singular, most important path he’s followed. Along the way he has taught at Harrow School, where he served as Deputy Headmaster, and held positions of Housemaster, departmental head, ISI school inspector, sports coach, and Master in charge of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.
Keith sees Malvern College as a school that affords the time and space in which to nurture the whole person, and where pastoral care is at the centre of all that it does. He is an advocate of the great outdoors and having been awarded a Golf Blue from Cambridge, he continues to support a wide portfolio of sports on our curriculum. He regularly runs or cycles over the Malvern Hills to meetings at The Downs Malvern Prep School and it’s this passion for making the most of the environment and achieving both in and out of the classroom that he instils across Malvern College.
