James Lyon Taylor
Marlborough College
United Kingdom
Having read Biology at the University of Bristol James Lyon Taylor started his teaching career at Brighton College, where he taught Biology and Chemistry and was Head of Year 9. James then moved to Marlborough College where he was a Housemaster in a co-educational boarding house for 13 years.
James believes in the value of full-boarding to offer a richness to the curriculum and co-curriculum and has coached sport, particularly rugby and hockey, and been involved in many aspects of the co-curriculum.
He has recently been appointed as Director of Admissions, overseeing the entry of pupils to Marlborough in year 9 and 12. It is a particularly exciting time as the College looks to expand its bursary provision to widen access for pupils through offering bursaries ranging from 5%-110%. James looks forward to the chance to discuss this provision with you
