Cathy Ellott is in her third year of headship at Streatham & Clapham High School and is a passionate advocate for all girls’ education for the confidence, camaraderie and friendship it inspires. As a leader, safeguarding expert and teacher of English and Drama, she has worked at six leading independent schools and her educational vision is a commitment to academic stretch and challenge, co-curricular breadth, and the very highest standards of safeguarding and pastoral care. Having studied English at Oxford, Cathy encourages every girl to be ambitious, yet she knows as a both a parent and teacher that each child has her own journey. She believes that it is the quality of the relationships throughout the school community that really matter, and the school’s partnership with families is crucial to ensure that every girl feels that she can be the very best version of herself. She loves being part of Streatham & Clapham High School, where the girls and staff enjoy school with a cheerful energy; where kindness matters and friendships flourish.
