Ben Jones

Joining Alleyn’s in 2008 as Teacher of Physics, Ben Jones went on to become Head of Physics in 2011 and then Director of Science in 2015. This September, Ben was appointed Director of Partnerships where he leads on engaging staff and pupils with the Alleyn’s partnership programme.
Having been brought up in Bath, Ben went on to study Physics at the University of Birmingham. Before taking up teaching Ben spent eight years working in Telecoms (Cable & Wireless) as an Account Director.
Ben, who now lives in Herne Hill, is not only a teacher at Alleyn’s but a parent too, with two of his three children attending the school. Outside Alleyn’s, Ben has recently come to the end of a seven-year tenure as a Governor at a local prep school.
