SPEAKERS:

Douglas RobbDouglas has been Headmaster of Gresham’s School since September 2014. Gresham’s is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2-18 set in 200 acres of countryside just four miles from breathtaking North Norfolk.

Before Gresham’s, Douglas was Headmaster at Oswestry School for 4 years and a Housemaster at Oundle where he taught Economics and Politics.

Originally from the Wirral, Douglas Robb was educated at Birkenhead School, followed by Edinburgh University and Cambridge University. He has taught in Prince Edward School Harare in Zimbabwe, Fettes College in Scotland and Loughborough Grammar School.

Anna PeakAnna Peak is the Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Shrewsbury School. A Geography teacher by trade, with over 20 years’ experience in UK and international schools, she joined the Shrewsbury family in 2012, as the first externally appointed Housemaster (as they were known at the time) in Shrewsbury’s history.

As well as running Mary Sidney Hall (girls’ 13-18 boarding house), she was part of the team that successfully launched full co-education at Shrewsbury School. Anna was also responsible for the development of a contemporary Personal and Social Development curriculum and raising the profile of the subject within the whole school agenda.

In addition to her day-to-day role, Anna is a school Governor, a member of the Independent Schools Inspectorate, and delivers HMC Pastoral training. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and scuba diving in warm water with fast currents.
