Boarding Residence In addition, St. Peter’s is home to the First Boarding School in the area, an extension of our commitment to excellence: students have access to our top education and can develop life skills while nurturing life-long friendships. Being an on-campus boarding residence, surrounded by the mountains and the sea, students have access to an enriching range of extracurricular activities both during the week and the weekends.

The school offers weekly and full boarding to students from the age of 14, who have the opportunity to join the current and diverse school community of more than 1,000 students and 40 nationalities and benefit from a unique and individualised academic programme, as well as a personalised Career and University guidance, which will prepare them to access the most prestigious universities both in Portugal and abroad. Additionally, St. Peter’s Boarding Residence will offer close pastoral care and 24 hour personal assistance – students have24/7 personal and academic support from the House Parents -and different cultural, sports and social activities during weekends and school breaks, assuring that they have a safe, rich and fun boarding experience.

Students living in the new Boarding Residence benefit from 18 double bedrooms (9 rooms for girls and 9 rooms for boys) with ensuite bathrooms, personal study space and air-conditioning. Meals based on the wonderful mediterranean cuisine are cooked at the premises and menus are prepared by a nutritionist, taking into account the nutritional needs of each boarder, while respecting their cultural and dietary restrictions.

Boarders have access to the Boarding Residence common areas, the Sports Centre and Learning Resource Centre. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities on-site (from Rugby to Drama or Violin) as well as off-site activities, ensuring that students have a safe, enriching and fun boarding experience. During the weekends, boarding students have the opportunity to go on excursions and trips to different places around Portugal - the country has a diverse cultural and artistic heritage, with a vast historical legacy, and a diversity of landscapes from idyllic beaches to cosmopolitan cities.
