St Clare's, Oxford is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school located in elegant north Oxford and has been offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma for over 40 years, longer than any other school or college in England. Its holistic approach to teaching and status as a World IB School, gives the college its worldwide reputation as being experts in delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Internationalism and academic excellence are at the heart of St Clare’s. The college welcomes students from over 40 different nationalities, including a significant number of British pupils. Ranking 12^th in the UK for results (The Times League table, 2020) in 2020 they earned an average IB point score of 37 out of 45 and achieved a 100% pass rate. In recent years, four of their students gained the magic maximum of 45 points, a grade achieved by only 0.2% of students around the world. Supported by a specialist in-house Careers and Higher education team, their IB leavers have secured places at many of the world’s top universities, including Oxford University, Cambridge University, UCL, John Hopkins University, and Utrecht University. Alongside the sixth form college, St Clare’s offer a Pre-IB course for students age 15-16, equipping younger students with the skills needed to confidently progress onto the IB Diploma.  

The college offers a wide range of subjects across their IB programmes, which are delivered by inspiring teachers who are experts in their field. To complement students’ academic life, the college offers an extensive programme of social, cultural, and sporting activities. Their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) programme is integrated into the IB and aims to stimulate the student as a whole through new extracurricular experiences. Photography, Model United Nations and the Student Council are just some of the project’s students are able to get involved with.

Their college is not a gated campus: the 25 beautiful Victorian buildings that make up the school are grouped around the leafy residential borough of Summertown, North Oxford.
