The school is set in a safe, leafy, spacious, 85 acre campus in Musselburgh, East Lothian, adjacent to Edinburgh. It enjoys all the advantages of this rural setting while being globally connected, with the convenience and opportunities of being just 6 miles from Scotland’s capital city, its international airport, rail, and road networks.

Loretto School offers the traditional British / English curriculum of GCSEs and A-levels, and more than nine pupils our of 10 enter the University of their Choice, such as Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, and Durham.

Welcoming just over 600 pupils, Loretto is a small school that strives to know every pupil personally, and offer them the opportunity to grow and develop wherever their interests lie. Loretto is also well known for its emphasis on the development of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. The school offers a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities including comprehensive programmes in Sport and Creative Arts.

Loretto’s campus integrates extensive playing fields, several Sports Halls, a Music School, Dance and Drama Studios as well as dedicated Science Centre.
