We are a thriving co-educational boarding and day school with a beautiful 100-acre safe learning environment which inspires curiosity, ignites passions and prompts discovery.  We are the only boarding school in Surrey to be located less than 10 minutes’ walk from a station, with easy access to Waterloo (55 minutes), Clapham Junction (45 minutes) and Guildford (15 minutes).
A proudly diverse community with strong foundations rooted in kindness, compassion and authenticity, pupils flourish academically, socially and emotionally through inspiring educational and pastoral journeys.

We have a proud history, being founded in 1553 in the City of London; we continue to take advantage of wide-ranging enrichment opportunities in London.

We offer GCSE, A level and BTEC programmes, with class sizes averaging 15, and our pupils receive extensive 1:1 guidance to navigate their future plans. Each year around 2/3 transition to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities; others progress to specialist universities, apprenticeships or directly to their chosen careers.

Our supportive and sociable house communities are at the heart of our pastoral care for pupils from 11 - 18; there is no division between day and boarding pupils here.  We offer a range of flexible boarding options – full, weekly, part- time (3 evenings per week) and flexi-boarding.

We have over twenty choirs, orchestras and bands and our drama programme includes a minimum of three productions in each school year; we take advantage of our close proximity to a wide range of West End theatre venues. Competitive and recreational options in over 15 sports include football, hockey, golf, swimming, badminton, cricket, netball, padel, swimming and tennis. In 2026, our girls and boys football teams have reached national semi-finals; we have won the national padel championships and are the English Schools ski champions.

Seeking to foster a lifelong love of learning, we support pupils to develop confidence in exploring and shaping their personal interests, identity and principles.  King Edward’s empowers every child to grasp opportunities to become the highly motivated creative thinkers of tomorrow.
