A&J School

A&J School is a full-time online school delivering live GCSE and A-Level lessons to pupils from Year 9 to Year 13. Our students study from homes around the UK and sit for end-of-year exams at official exam centres local to them.

As an online school, we don’t have physical teaching premises. There is no sophisticated music studio, nor do we have an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Instead, we divert all of the money we save on the buildings into securing some of the best teachers in the world and making them available to our pupils. 

A regular school has teachers who live in a local vicinity. In our case, we are not limited by geography and our teachers come from across the globe. We regularly receive in excess of 300 applications for every position and can therefore recruit some of the world’s most inspirational and most experienced teachers. For example, one of our staff is Professor Timothy McCarthy who has been teaching at Harvard University for 25 years and was awarded the 2015 National Humanities Medal by President Obama. 

In May 2024, A&J School received the King’s Award for Enterprise from King Charles III, becoming the first online school ever to earn royal recognition.

We accept students aged 13 and above into Y9 to Y13, subject to a successful entrance assessment. Most join in Y9, but we accept students from all year groups. We offer accelerated one-year GCSE and A-Level courses for Y11 and Y13. We welcome A-Level resits.

£24,750 per annum inclusive of VAT. Fees are frozen for two years for pupils joining during the 24/25 academic year.
