A place to live. A place to learn. A place to grow.

Fettes College (7‐18 years) is a leading co‐educational boarding school situated in a stunning 100‐acre gated campus, and is within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and the heart of the cultural city of Edinburgh.

Curious, creative, and kind, Fettesians aim high whilst understanding what it means to be a good person and give back.

Following the English examination curriculum, students achieve excellent results in GCSE, and dual pathway of A level and IB in the sixth form, Fettes offers each student the opportunity to make the most of their talents.

Head, Helen Harrison says “Our students will leave the school knowing themselves, looking out for others, capable of thinking critically and ready to make a positive mark on their rapidly changing world. They will be bold and visionary yet compassionate; they will possess a global perspective and be ready to embrace the opportunities of the future.”

Sector leading wellbeing and pastoral care. Our
full boarding ethos (no weekly or flexi) ensures weekends are busy. All senior school students – boarding and day – are part of a boarding house and each believes their house is the best house! House spirit is strong. In the final year at Fettes, students live in a co‐educational boarding house, which is excellent preparation for university life.

Innovation and creativity are key and recent developments include: Introduction of engineering, enterprise and technology (EET) into the curriculum, including robotics, structural engineering, programming and 3D printing, creation of “This
Will Be My World” sixth form lecture series and bespoke Middle School Diploma – giving the Middle Years (13‐15) distinction and providing balance to the student’s academic programme. This unique qualification recognises students’ achievements outside the classroom.

We offer 60‐plus co‐curricular activities. We are proudly Scottish with a global outlook, with students from over 30 countries. There are excellent international transport links and easy access to Edinburgh Airport.
