Ideally located only one hour from central London, Felsted is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 4-18, set in a beautiful, safe English village. Felsted has a long and very successful tradition of educating pupils from all over the world; our international pupils make a major contribution to the richness and diversity of community life at Felsted.

We limit our international intake to 20% of the pupil body and have a dedicated week at the beginning of each academic year (called LEAP week), where all our international students are introduced to Felsted school life.  We offer a comprehensive weekend activity programme for all our traditional full boarders. This includes a number of indoor, outdoor, physical, recreational and cultural activities. Shopping and cinema trips to Braintree, Chelmsford and Cambridge are a regular Felsted favourite along with evening meals out to local restaurants and outings to Theme Parks and tourist attractions. All our boarding houses have games consoles and subscriptions to film libraries and sports channels so there is much to do in the comfort of the boarding houses too. Each Sunday there is brunch followed by coffee club, plus a choice of an outing or an indoor activity such as dodgeball, baking, chess, water polo and craft making… the list goes on!

Strong academic results and excellent entry to top universities are annually achieved, via A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma, allowing for a wide scope of academic possibilities. A Gifted and Talented programme extends the most able and experienced EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SFL (Support for Learning) Departments assists those that need extra support.

Felsted sport is for the elite and the enthusiast - national and regional success is annually achieved across all core sports, including titles National titles in Hockey, Rugby, Tennis and Netball. All pupils are involved in music in some way, whether it is participating in the Inter-House Singing Competition or through individual musical interest. Our unique partnership with the Junior Guildhall allows our more talented pupils to experience an unrivalled range of benefits and opportunities to study at a top level.

The Felsted Diploma offers a tailored co-curricular programme for every senior student, who follow their own unique pathway through the School. All Felstedians have access to an excellent work education programme and are provided with career support through the Felsted Network. As a Global Member of the Round Square organisation, pupils are also able to exchange and have dialogue with a network of over 115 schools worldwide.

We encourage you to visit so we can find out more about how Felsted may suit you as a family. We look forward to meeting you.
