RGS Surrey Hills celebrates record GCSE results
GCSE Results Day

Students at RGS Surrey Hills are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, marking the school’s strongest performance in recent years and demonstrating the transformative impact of new leadership under its first female Headmistress, alongside revitalised teaching and learning strategies. In just two years, the school has set a fresh, ambitious academic direction and the results are clear to see.

With a roll of 450 students from Year 7 to Sixth Form, RGS Surrey Hills continues to prove that a small school with a close-knit community can deliver big outcomes. This summer saw an increase of over a third in the number of top 9–7 grades, with 77% of students receiving a grade 7 or above, the school’s best ever performance at this level. Every student who sat their exams secured passes across their subjects, giving RGS Surrey Hills its best ever overall pass rate.

Several departments recorded outstanding achievements:
Geography: 57% of grades at 9–7
History: 61% of grades at 9–7
French: 100% at 9–5, with 65% at 9–7
Computer Science: 67% of grades at 9–7

One delighted parent reflected on the results:
“I’m a proud mum; my daughter has exceeded expectations, which comes as no surprise given the incredible care and support she has received. I can’t believe the difference in just the last couple of years. The school just keeps on getting better.”
