Students Emma, Sophia, Clara and Simon have achieved the prestigious Gold Award in the UK Maths Challenge (UKMC) Maths Modelling Competition, placing them in the top 5% of participants nationwide.

The UKMC is the official national qualifying stage for the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC), organised by The Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications.

Authoring an extensive 34-page report from scratch under a demanding five-day deadline, the team used mathematical modelling to tackle complex, real-world issues by translating raw data into concrete, actionable recommendations.

The team demonstrated exceptional collaboration by independently identifying sub-problems and testing solutions on their own initiative. Their outstanding technical rigour, creativity, and teamwork under pressure mark a standout victory for the school.

Congratulations to Emma, Sophia, Clara, and Simon on this incredible achievement!
