St George’s School Windsor Castle
About
With its unique setting adjacent to Windsor Castle, St George’s is a thriving co-educational day and boarding prep school. Its innovative curriculum and emphasis on the importance of kindness, honesty and courage places it at the forefront of modern teaching and pastoral care.
With a rich heritage as a choir school founded in 1348 to educate the choristers of St George’s Chapel, music plays a crucial role in the lives of all our pupils. With many school choirs and ensembles, all children are exposed to a range of musical styles. Research shows that music has a clear impact on children’s development, academically and emotionally; something with which we firmly agree. Our school is staffed by an ambitious and highly experience Director of Music and a team of outstanding teachers, many of who are renowned performers in their own right. A state-of-the-art recording studio makes up part of a well-resourced department and we enjoy a reputation as a highly respected non-specialist music school.
The School has a ‘sport for all’ ethos and games lessons and fixtures are played in the stunning private grounds of the Castle. There are over 80 co-curricular activities to choose from.
St George’s works closely with families to prepare pupils for entry into their first-choice senior schools, which have recently included places and awards at Eton, Wellington, Wycombe Abbey and Radley. Transport from West London can be provided.
