Bring your own questions and hear from experts in education and parenting on making the best choices for your child.Choices in education start very early, not just in settings but in what children are encouraged and capable of doing at just 2 or 3 years old. Anne-Marie brings a wealth of experience as a leading Early Years practitioner on the benefits of starting young; whilst Emily will be sharing the concerns and questions she gets asked on early education dilemmas.
Anya Waddington is the angels & urchins Schools Editor and writes on a range of educational issues. She also edits the angels & urchins Schools Guide (published annually in September). Anya studied English Literature at the University of East Anglia for her first degree and then went on to do an MA at London University in Modern Literature.
She worked in book publishing for many years and has been at angels & urchins for over ten years. She is an academic support volunteer at IntoUniversity and is on the governing board of a North London prep school. As the parent of three children (two of whom are now at university) she has frontline experience as a parent in all-boys, all-girls, co-ed, boarding and day schools and has the scars to prove it!
Emily Turner is one of the founding Editors of angels & urchins. She started life in children’s book publishing before qualifying as a solicitor. She left the world of law on the arrival of her daughter and has been with a&u ever since.
She writes on a range of topics including travel, what’s on and education. She has four children who have all gone to different schools so, when it comes to finding the right school for the right child, she has certainly practised what she preached!
