Zoe Ireland
Ms Zoe Ireland began her role as Head of Prior’s Field from September 2024 and is the 12th Head in Prior’s Field’s 122-year history.
Zoe has substantial experience in senior leadership roles and had been Head Designate at Prior’s Field over the Summer Term and was most recently Acting Head at Farnborough Hill, where she was previously Deputy Head Academic for six years. Prior to this, she held several leadership positions at schools both in the UK and overseas.
Zoe says: ‘As a history graduate, I have always been fascinated by the stories of the past and the impact they have on our present. Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles in all-girls schools, where I have been dedicated to empowering young women to reach their full potential. As a mother of two daughters, I understand the importance of breaking glass ceilings and creating a more equitable world for women.
As a Head teacher I strive to create an inclusive environment where girls are encouraged to dream big and pursue their passions. I believe that by providing equal opportunities and support, we can overcome the barriers that have traditionally limited women's advancement.
I am passionate about advocating for equity for women in all aspects of life, whether it be in education, the workplace, or society. I firmly believe that when women are given the chance to succeed, they can make a significant impact and contribute to a more just and balanced world.’
