Theresa Glasmacher is one of two Managing Directors at Barbara Glasmacher Schulberatung GmbH which is based in Munich, Germany. Originally founded in 1996 by her mother, Barbara Glasmacher, the company is Germany’s oldest and most well-known educational agency for the placement of students from continental Europe (mainly Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary) in British boarding schools.

Theresa completed her IB Diploma at Sevenoaks School and after a two year banking apprenticeship in Munich returned to England to study history and politics at the London School of Economics. She received her Master’s Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University) in Boston. From 1998 to 2005, Theresa worked in the field of environmental and climate protection in Munich and Berlin. In 2006, she returned to Munich to work in the small family business and became Managing Director of the agency in 2013. Theresa Glasmacher is married and mother of two teenage sons.
