Mr Ted Lougher has been Headmaster of King’s College Junior School since September 2021.
An accomplished linguist and educationalist by training, Mr Lougher graduated with first class honours in French at the University of Exeter, where he also achieved a qualification in Mandarin, and went on to gain a distinction in his MSc in learning and teaching at Oxford.
After success in his role as Director of Upper School at Cheltenham College Preparatory School, he joined King’s College Junior School and took on dual roles as Assistant Head and as the head of modern languages. In 2018 he became Deputy Head (academic) at Clifton College Preparatory School in Bristol, after which he returned to King’s in the role of Headmaster.
Mr Lougher is also a keen sports fan and musician, coaching football and cricket at King’s and singing in the Chamber Choir.
