Shriya Patel is Assistant Head (Academic), Head of Classics and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Christ’s Hospital. A Classics teacher by background and herself educated at an all-girls’ school, she is passionate about creating ambitious, inclusive educational environments in which young people are known as individuals and encouraged to recognise their own capabilities. Her leadership is shaped by a reflective, research-informed approach to teaching and learning, alongside a strong belief in the importance of intellectual curiosity and holistic development. She is particularly interested in how girls’ education can foster the confidence to take intellectual risks, challenge expectations and pursue ambitions without limitation.
