Sean has been Headmaster at Westonbirt Prep School in the Costwolds since 2016. In addition to this, Sean is a board member of The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) and is the current Chair of the IAPS National Sports Committee.
Sean has a background in, and passion for, rugby and sits on the RFU Schools Partnership Group. As an English Language graduate, Sean spent his early career in the sales industry before moving on to managing tuition centres and then qualifying as a Middle Years (KS2 and 3) teacher. After beginning his teaching journey in the maintained sector as a primary teacher, Sean moved to Westonbirt where he has held roles as Assistant Head Pastoral and then Head. In this time, he has seen the school successfully move into The Wishford Schools Group and has overseen the school doubling in size.
His educational approach is centred around providing memorable and enjoyable experiences first and foremost and ensuring that pupils are prepared for life beyond prep school as learners but also as people.
