Sam Obeng-Asare
Sam Obeng-Asare has been teaching at Haberdashers’ Adams Grammar School, Newport Shropshire, since 2008. In his time at Adams, Sam has been Head of Economics and Business (2013 – present), Housemaster (2016-2023) and is currently Assistant Headteacher (Boarding). He is also a Boarding Schools Association (BSA) regional chair. Sam holds a B.Ed. (Hons) from the University of Cape Coast, a Masters degree from Wolverhampton and PGCE from Homerton College, Cambridge. Sam was a boarder as a child and his love for boarding shines through his passion to support parents and pupils navigate the boarding journey in a fun and fulfilling way. Haberdashers’ Adams is a co-ed state grammar school with boarding for boys. The school is an excellent alternative to the independent sector.
