Rosalynd has held management positions in a variety of independent schools, day and boarding, single sex and co-educational. Rosalynd has a BA and MSc in Mathematics from Queen’s University Belfast. At the age of 32 she was appointed as Deputy Head of Woodbridge School, Suffolk an HMC co-educational day and boarding school and soon afterwards became Acting Head. At 35 she took up the Headship of Wykeham House School, a girls’ independent day school where she built up pupil numbers, added new facilities, improved academic standards and established the school in the local community.
Since 2006, she has been Principal of Queen’s Gate School, London where she enjoys the international dimension of this popular and successful day school for girls from 4-18. Rosalynd has worked as an ISI Inspector since 1993 and is also a Governor of a state boarding school. Until 2020, Rosalynd was Chairman of the London 11+ Consortium of many of London’s leading girls’ schools and led these schools successfully through significant changes.
