Natalie Argile
Natalie Argile is the Head of Blackheath High School GDST.
Growing up in Glasgow, Natalie moved south of the border to read Chemistry at Newcastle University, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Education. Natalie began her teaching career at a large comprehensive school in Newcastle. Torn between her passion of teaching and love of subject, she returned to university to study for an MSc in Drug Chemistry. A move to London also saw a return to the classroom where Natalie progressed through different middle leader roles in Grammar schools in both Bexley and Kent. Despite being state educated herself, Natalie decided to explore the move into the independent education sector which she has enjoyed for the last 10 years.
Natalie is particularly passionate about girls’ education and the benefits in preparing girls for their futures. She is focussed on cultivating an education very much by design and steeped in research. One which goes beyond simply supporting girls with their next destination, but rather encouraging them to confidently create and navigate the path that most excites them, for next steps and beyond.
