Mrs Woodcock is currently Headmistress of Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park. She was previously Headmistress of Sydenham High School, GDST, where she held the post from April 2017-August 2022.
Mrs Woodcock read French and Russian at Bristol University. She gained considerable teaching experience, both in the UK and abroad, before embarking on her PGCE at St Mary’s, Twickenham. Katharine comes from a long line of teachers, and her first teaching post was as a languages teacher and resident tutor at Oakham School, Rutland, where she later became a Housemistress. She moved to London in 2005 where she took up the role of Second Deputy Head/Head of Sixth Form at Queen’s College. During her last four years at Queen’s she was Senior Deputy Head.
Mrs Woodcock sits on a number of educational groups, is a governor of a primary school in north London and in her spare time enjoys running and outdoor pursuits. She is married with two children.
