Emma Bell has been appointed as the new Head of St James Senior Girls' School in West Kensington; she is replacing retiring Sarah Labram. Emma was previously Deputy Head at Tudor Hall school in Oxfordshire. She has over 20 years of experience in education, as a teacher, careers and Higher Education adviser and senior leader. Having studied History at Oxford, Emma began her career as a Strategy Consultant and then through volunteering recognised her vocation in education. Passionate about the transformative power of a truly thought-provoking holistic education, Emma is a strong advocate for single-sex senior school education and the benefits of an environment where no subject or activity comes with a gender stereotype, and everything is designed with girls in mind. Emma is delighted to have joined the St James community.
