David Ejim-McCubbi

David has worked as a civil servant for over 7 years, including roles as a Private Secretary to a Minister of State at the Department of Education, Head of Education Policy at the Social Mobility Commission (Cabinet Office), as well as roles in the Ministry of Justice. He is currently Chair of Trustees at the Eastside Young Leaders Academy, a supplementary school in Forest Gate, London and was formerly Chair of Governors of a primary school. Born and bred in Newham, east London, David was an Arnold Foundation bursary student at Rugby School where he studied his A levels, before studying Law at Brighton University and later a masters in Legal and Political Theory at University College London. He is married with two sons and is currently undertaking theological studies to become a church leader.
