Bridget Saul

Cameron Vale School
United Kingdom
Currently Head of Cameron Vale School in Chelsea, Bridget’s career in education spans nearing twenty-five years. Cameron Vale School prides itself on its no one size fits all approach. A school of individuals, rather than a homogenous whole, Cameron Vale believes in maximising children’s potential - personally, academically and intellectually.
Having assumed middle and senior leadership roles in London’s prep schools since 1999, Bridget possesses extensive knowledge of the entry and preparation processes necessary to prepare children for the top UK independent senior schools, including London day schools and national boarding schools at 11+ and 13+.
Beginning her teaching career at Tettenhall College in the West Midlands, Bridget then moved to Thomas’s, Battersea, where she developed her experience for thirteen years. From Thomas’s, Bridget moved to Wandsworth Prep School where, having initially joined the school as Founding Deputy Headteacher, subsequently assumed the Headship in 2014. At Wandsworth Prep, Bridget had the somewhat unique experience of leading the growth of the school from one Reception class in September 2012 to reach full capacity with the first cohort of Year 6 leavers in July 2017. In its short history, pupils in Year 6 gained entry to some of the most selective schools in London, including Alleyn’s, Dulwich College, KCS, Wimbledon and St Paul’s Girls, and, alongside academic, Sports and performing arts scholarships to Whitgift, Putney High and Woldingham.
Bridget holds an MA in Education, awarded with Distinction, from King’s College, London, a PGCE from the University of Oxford and a BA in French with Italian from the University of London. A passionate modern linguist, Bridget is currently undertaking research at UCL for a Doctorate in Education, with a particular focus on developing a coherent curriculum in modern languages across the primary and secondary phases.
