Young England Kindergarten

Located in the heart of Pimlico, Young England Kindergarten is a family-run nursery school that has been educating children since the 1960’s. Kay King has been the principal for over 40 years and in 2013 was joined by her son, Henry, as School Business Manager. Head Teacher, Lucinda Byron Evans, has been with YEK for almost a decade and both of her children are past pupils.

Young England Kindergarten is proud to hold an OFSTED ‘outstanding’ rating. We are passionate about creating a fun, loving and educational space for our children. Our children are encouraged to explore their potential and develop at a relaxed pace that is rewarding, fun and challenging.

We operate from a large, light and well-equipped setting. We have an extensive range of resources and educational equipment as well as a stage, where our school plays are produced twice a year.

The kindergarten is located alongside a beautiful garden, which we use daily (weather permitting!) for games, tending to our school allotment and learning about nature.

Our approach to teaching incorporates contemporary methods and maintains traditional values. This approach stems from years of teaching experience at kindergarten level. Our aim is for each child to have the best possible start in their academic life.
