With an exceptional 400-year history, Steyning Grammar School (SGS) is an international family, where lifelong friendships are made. Our vibrant and exciting Church of England day and boarding school is split across three campuses, focused on supporting the learning and development of  every student. Community values and outstanding relationships underpin all that we do.

As the only state boarding school in Sussex we are able to offer modern affordable state boarding that offers unrivalled pastoral care and academic support. Our full, weekly and flexi boarding options, with Ofsted Outstanding pastoral care, are an ideal fit for pupils who want all the advantages of a familiar UK college, set in a beautiful location.

We are proud of our diverse, innovative curriculum and outstanding learning and teaching. Key Stage 4 is completed over a three year period. Our Sixth Form is highly successful, with excellent academic and pastoral provision and a broad range of academic and applied pathways to support all students - not just in their studies, but also in preparation for university, apprenticeships and employment.

We are part of the Bohunt Education Trust - a high achieving, supportive and dynamic learning community whose ethos is  simple: enjoy, respect and achieve.
