Shrewsbury High School, GDST

As part of the GDST family of schools, Shrewsbury High School has been educating girls for over 135 years.  We value our heritage and are true to our GDST founding principles of helping every girl fulfil her potential and dreams.  From September 2021 our Junior school will reunite with our Senior school on our historic Town Walls site, bringing all our pupils together to create the only cohesive, all-through, all-girls, educational offering in the heart of Shrewsbury.  Although our Junior and Senior schools will be distinct,  the opportunities for cross phase collaboration, seamless transition and a coherent learning environment are extremely exciting.   We will be able to reshape and reimagine our school for the future, as a more coherent space where individuals can discover their passions and develop their confidence.   It will allow us to modernise our campus, develop new facilities and improve existing ones with the creation of innovative teaching, social and green spaces for the benefit of all our pupils. The quality of education parents expect from Shrewsbury High School will be enhanced by the reunification of the two schools and a return to our roots.
