Place2Be is the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity providing school-based mental health services.

We are incredibly proud to be the charity partner of this year’s Independent Schools Show.  

Place2Be’s mission is to improve the mental wellbeing and prospects of children, providing a lifeline to those facing challenges such as anxiety, self-harm or suicide ideation.  

Our primary aim is to ensure that every child has access to high-quality, timely mental health support in a safe setting. Through in-school counselling services, training for teachers and support for parents, we strive to create nurturing school communities that empower children to thrive both emotionally and academically.

We reach over 350,000 children with our network of over 650 schools, with our typical model placing a Place2Be counsellor in each school we work in.

We have been instrumental in breaking down stigma surrounding mental health in schools and advocating for the integration of mental health support into the school environment.

With one in five children now having a probable mental health condition, our work has never been more needed.
