Montreux and the surrounding region in Switzerland are home to a number of prestigious Business and Hospitality schools all competing in the world’s top higher education rankings and it therefore became logical to design the first IBCP curriculum focusing on Business and Hospitality. Having these highly ranked institutions as an opportunity for further education in such close proximity, is a fantastic opportunity for any student.

Montreux International School is the brainchild of two former Heads of the International Baccalaureate Organization, Mr. Jon Halligan and Mr. Damian Bacchoo who are both very passionate about career related education and the IBCP, International Baccalaureate Career Related Programme, in particular.

With their vision and passion, together, they decided to launch the Montreux International School by creating an innovative and experiential learning opportunity for students aged 16-19. Their blended model will provide educational security, skills for life and accelerated pathways into higher education.

In order to provide a genuine, authentic career related study, Montreux International School decided to co-develop their curriculum which allowed for a more in-depth student experience and better learning outcome to be delivered. In addition to being able to study the innovative IBCP course, students who successfully pass the IBCP proposed by Montreux International School will be able to benefit from credit recognition towards various degrees offered at partner universities. This innovative model will allow students to complete their IB qualification in 2 years and accelerate their pathway through higher education and into their careers. 

Having completed an IBCP in Business and Hospitality with the choice of studying an accelerated bachelor’s degree at one of the world’s leading institutions, Montreux International students have a world of opportunities ahead of them.
