We are a state co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 11 to 18 and offer our students a dynamic, vibrant and exciting learning environment where development of the whole student is our priority. The College offers a rigorous and broad curriculum, and is proud to be one of the largest state schools offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma programmes. With a twin focus on the two specialisms of Languages and Music, Hockerill offers a truly distinct setting for a world-class education. Located in beautiful grounds on the edge of Bishop’s Stortford the school is in close proximity to London and the South East of England and accepts applications for boarding and day places from students with a current UK passport or the right to residency in the UK.

We are one of the UK's largest maintained boarding schools and offer exceptional value for UK passport holders or those enjoying UK right of residence.

The government pays tuition fees for students meeting these conditions, effectively reducing costs by a third compared with those charged for similar services in an independent school. The College is situated approximately ten minutes from Stansted Airport and an hour from London.
