SAT 10TH NOV
The world of work is moving on apace, so much so that it is difficult to know what sort of roles the pupils in school today may fill. How can an independent education equip your child to successfully take on the future world and fulfil their potential?
A few weeks after leaving school James flew to California to start his first business, The English Butler Service. He since established a number of enterprises including the South London nightclub Ministry of Sound which spawned the biggest independent record company in the world.
Curious and confused about the world, he wrote two books about morality in modern times and short termism in politics. Stephen Fry said of his writing - 'It's as if Thomas Pynchon and Burroughs and Vonnegut got together and had a bastard love child.'
Active in politics he became a Lib Dem Peer in 2013. He speaks on the unsustainability of debt in modern democracies, but is unable to provide a solution as any politician seeking to connect behaviour to consequences would be unelectable.
He launched a new hybrid office/gym/restaurant/club business this year, but overall still hasn't found what he's looking for.
