Heathfield is a dynamic and vibrant boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18 set in stunning grounds here in Ascot, Berkshire, with outstanding facilities. Our excellence and unique qualities – as a small and nurturing school – are frequently recognised and lauded both in national inspections and in the national press.
Our size and superb staff mean that our school focuses on the individual like no other. We have a unique understanding of each girl, ensuring she achieves the best she possibly can while embracing life to the full by participating in Sport, Drama, Music, Art and a huge variety of extra-curricular activities. Pastorally, we have been rated as 'Outstanding' by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) and academically, we are consistently strong and our value added academic results are second to none.
Summer 2015 A Level results speak for themselves with 90% A*-C grades and 40% A*-A. A third of our leaving Sixth Formers also achieved at least two A*-A grades in their tally of A Levels.
The results saw pupils confirming places at top UK universities including Bristol, Exeter, Reading, Edinburgh, Newcastle and the University of the Arts London and at international institutions including the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Boarding accommodation at Heathfield is first class with girls having their own single rooms from Form IV upwards while Sixth Formers live together in Wyatt House – known affectionately as 'the Bungalow' – which is like a university halls of residence, where they can cook together in one of two kitchens.
The sporting facilities include a large multi-purpose gym, two squash courts, a dance studio, five lacrosse pitches, tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool. Heathfield competes successfully in lacrosse, netball, swimming, rounders, athletics, polo, skiing and show-jumping.
Heathfield's excellence in the creative arts is nationally renowned and a great source of pride to the school. In September 2014, we became the first school in the UK to join with the London College of Fashion at the University of the Arts London for a unique and ongoing progression partnership which came about because of the talent they witnessed at our annual Fashion Show.
